Credits

Credits
  • 1 credit is granted for lectures lasting 15 hours or more per semester.
  • For experiments, practical training, or performance courses (including physical education), 1 credit is granted for 30 hours or more.
Credits per semester
  • The standard is 17 credits per semester.
  • Students can take a minimum of 9 credits and a maximum of 20 credits per semester (students in departments requiring 140 or more credits for graduation can take up to 22 credits).

Grade management

  • Students must attend at least three-quarters of the class days in a semester to earn credits.

Grade recognition
  • Grades are evaluated based on exam performance, attendance, research assignments, and general learning attitude for each course.
  • A grade of D° or higher is recognized as earned credit for each course.
  • Students receiving an F grade in required general education or major courses must retake the course and earn at least a D°.
  • Grades are not evaluated for students who took a leave of absence before final exams.
  • However, if a student attended more than three-quarters of the class days and submits a valid reason for leave, grades may be evaluated.
Grade correction
  • Once submitted, grades cannot be corrected.
  • If there are errors or omissions in grades, the professor must submit a correction request to the Academic Affairs Office during the grade correction period with a statement of reasons and supporting evidence.
Cancellation (non-recognition) of grades
  • Grades will be canceled in the following cases:
  • Academic dishonesty during exams
  • Grades of unregistered students taking exams
  • Grades for courses not registered for
  • Grades obtained from duplicate course registration
  • Grades exceeding the maximum credit limit
  • Grades of students who attended less than three-quarters of class days
