Eligibility

• Students expected to advance to the second or third year (applicants wishing to transfer within the same academic year).

  Students advancing to the third year are not eligible to apply.

Quota

• Limited to no more than 20% of the admission quota for each department (applies equally to transferring-in and transferring-out departments).

Application requirements

• Completion of all coursework up to the academic year they wish to transfer from their current department
  1. ①Completion of all required general education and major courses;
  2. ② Completion of at least N/4 (academic year) credits of the minimum graduation requirement;
  3. ③ A GPA of 2.50 or higher

  All three conditions above must be met to apply for a change of major.

Ineligible applicants (not allowed to apply)

• Departments and students in the College of Arts and Sports
• Transfer students, military-sponsored students

Change of major procedure

• Screening by Transferring-Out Department → Screening by Transferring-In Department → Screening by Transferring-In College → University Review → Academic Committee Deliberation → Final Decision

  Criteria and methods for change-of-major screening vary by department and may change annually; inquiries should be directed to the office of the applied department.
