Minors
- A system that allows students to broaden their understanding of adjacent disciplines, respond appropriately to changing times, and acquire a new major.
Departments/schools not eligible for minor application:
- ①School of Architecture (architecture major; 5-year program)
- ② Department of Music
- ③ Department of Sculpture
- ④ Department of Design (visual/industrial design major)
- Eligibility
- Students expected to advance from the first semester of their sophomore year to the first semester of their senior year.
- Students in the School of Architecture, Architecture Major are eligible from the first semester of their sophomore year to the first semester of their fifth year.
- Students must complete at least 21 credits from major courses offered by the minor department.
If there are designated courses, they must be included within the 21 credits or more.
- Withdrawal
- If a minor is canceled or withdrawn, previously earned minor-related credits may be recognized as general elective credits.
- Students pursuing a double major who wish to apply for a minor must first cancel their double major and obtain final approval before applying.
The cancellation process may take several days depending on the department and college, so it must be processed in advance.
- Notes
- Only one minor can be applied for and completed (application for two departments not allowed).
- Double majors and minors cannot be pursued simultaneously.

- Minor Application (via UOS Portal) → Screening by Current Department → Screening by Current College → Screening by Applied Department → Screening by Applied College → University Review (Academic Affairs) → Notification of Approval (Academic Affairs)
