Department of Landscape Architecture

Department of Landscape Architecture

The Department of Landscape Architecture offers structured educational opportunities to nurture specialists of landscape design and ecological planning. The curriculum emphasizes two primary aspects of the field: design-oriented education and landscape ecology-oriented education. The department's goal is to produce creative experts who will play a significant role in coordinating, collaborating and mediating various academic and practical fields related to landscape architecture. After graduation, students will have opportunities to work with landscape architectural design firms, government offices, construction companies, engineering companies and research offices using their practical and theoretical education. The department's education programs are specialized in the education of the urban environment and landscape due to the university's strong relationship with Seoul Metropolitan Government. The programs differentiate from other fields dealing with the urban environment by strengthening the education of ecology and design education and also intensifying the focus on global education.
