Jay Hyoun Kwon is a Professor of Geoinformatics at the University of Seoul. Before joining UOS in 2005, Professor Kwon served as an Assistant Professor at Dept. of Earth Information Science, Sejong University. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Earth Science from Seoul National University and Ph.D. in Geodetic Science and Surveying from the Ohio State University .

Professor Kwon’s current research interests focus on geodesy and precise positioning, with a particular emphasis on the geoid modeling and multi-sensor integration. He has published on several topics including : the development of Korean geoid model, the development of a gravity gradient referenced navigation system, and the development of precise vehicle positioning system.
