Graduate School of Science in Taxation (GSST) is the only graduate school in Korea that the Ministry of Education granted establishment for professional education in the area of taxation. The programs in GSST have evolved from the Baccalaureate Program, which achieved an outstanding reputation in a relatively short period of time - an accomplishment that has taken most major institutions decades to achieve. GSST offers the graduate degrees of Master’s of Science in Taxation (MST) and Ph.D. in Taxation. The MST Program is designed to prepare students for entry and accelerated advancement in the tax profession and to provide additional formal education required by individuals in the field of taxation and other fields seeking either a career change or advancement. Currently, the MST Program, a two-year program, allows admittance to 35 students annually and offers course-work in 5 major areas of concentration: Tax Law, Tax Accounting, International Taxation, Tax Policy Analysis and Tax Systems of Sub-national Jurisdictions. The School offers a high quality Ph.D. Program that emphasizes development of research and teaching skills in order for graduates to acquire the credentials necessary for placement in leading academic and/or research institutions. The School has an active research-oriented faculty and has established goals of achieving national prominence for its programs. A student in the Ph.D. Program is normally expected to study for three years, including one year of dissertation research (required time period may be shortened for qualified students).
With a global-minded education system, the Graduate School of Design is committed to training professional designers, particularly with expertise in digital/analog design that will support IT industries. Furthermore, by establishing a research system that combines government, industry, and educational sectors, the Graduate School of Design seeks to enhance functionality and productivity in design education.
University of Seoul Law School was established in March 2009 in accordance with the new system of legal education in Korea. Accredited from the massive permission competition, it is currently evaluated as one of the leading public law schools among 25 law schools. It offers a professional education of the highest quality that prepares its graduates for legal service in any career they choose, including the law firms, government, business, and education. As being partly devoted to the tax law program, the Law School provides a distinctive curriculum, elaborating to emphasize the development of professional analytic skills. Each student will have an opportunity to explore law and theory in the atmosphere that facilitates a spirit of collaboration and cooperation. The diverse backgrounds and specialties of 27 faculty members assure a wide variety of teaching skills and methods, including clinical instruction, courses and workshops employing a problem solving method.
The Graduate School of Urban Science offers masters degrees in urban administration, public administration, social welfare, environmental policy, urban planning, transportation management, civil engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, environmental engineering, disaster prevention, public performance administration, and geo-informatics. Its goal is the continuing education of high-level professionals and public officials.
The Graduate School of Business Administration offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the departments of business administration, international commerce, labor relations and e-business. Students can earn their degrees either through a thesis track or a non-thesis track, depending on their needs. In addition to the MBA program, the school has the Advanced Management Program to provide continuing business education for executives and high level managers in private and public business organizations.
The Graduate School of Engineering consists of six departments: Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, and Department of Environmental Horticulture. Students are trained to become creative professionals capable of contributing to the development of technologies and academic theories in various fields of engineering.

ISUS aims to educate global city and construction professionals with both professionalism
and skill. It does so by providing differentiated urban planning, finance, construction, operation,
and development management programs necessary in urban development based on the Korea’s experience
in bringing industrialization and urbanization success during a short period.
In addition, ISUS operates the MUAP(Master of Urban Administration Program) course necessary for passing on our experiences to partner countries and also contributes to international urban solution development and export by cultivating networking between domestic and foreign professionals and public officials though attending joint courses and forums. For your information, twenty public officials from fourteen countries have attended the MUAP.
